How We Think

When booking a Kickstep teacher we endeavour to provide highly qualified, reliable, honest and inspirational teachers with complete integrity and passion for what they teach.

From experience we have found that there are fundamental factors that set up the best environment and atmosphere for a class; one that is most conducive for learning.

We believe that the relationship between the teacher and student should be an equal one. When coming together as a group, like we do, everybody learns from the experience and grows from it. Everyone is as vulnerable and powerful as each other. Therefore the environment is one of learning together, as a group, where students (and teacher) share with each other. In this atmosphere students are much more open to learn as there is no fear of making mistakes or letting go of inhibitions and securities. If someone makes a mistake they are not wrong or bad, just learning. Once this is experienced we begin to see that everyone is the same and equal and this is one of the most empowering things to experience. This is what builds self-esteem and confidence and an understanding of other people is developed.
