Key Stage 1 & 2 (5 - 11 yrs)



What our Dance Classes cover:


Understanding the importance of fitness and health. Exploring how exercise affects the body and can help deal with stress and anxiety.
  • Exploring basic body actions, e.g. jumping and turning, and using different parts of their body to make movements. Learning a short routine to challenge the group but in such a way so those with lesser ability will not feel overwhelmed.
  • Communicating different moods, feelings and ideas through movement.
  • Understanding different dance styles and rhythms and how they originated.
  • Developing interpersonal skills by choreographing in groups, communicating their thoughts on each others performances and through pair exercises based on trust, balance and communication.
This fulfills the national curriculum program of studies for PE.

What our Yoga classes cover:

Knowledge and understanding of fitness and health. Exploring how exercise affects the body and can help deal with stress and anxiety.
  • Exploring basic body actions, e.g. jumping and turning, and use different parts of their body to make movements. They create and repeat short yoga stories inspired by themes or stories.
  • Communicating different ideas, mood and feelings through movement and verbalization.
  • Develops interpersonal skills in group and pair exercises based on trust, balance and communication and when communicating their thoughts on each others performances.
This fulfills the national curriculum program of studies for PE.



Key Stage 3 & 4 (11 - 16 yrs)

What our Dance Workshops cover:

Knowledge and understanding of fitness and health. How exercise affects the body and can help deal with stress and anxiety.
  • Exploring a range of dance styles, using step and gesture patterns, body shapes, contact work, and contrasts in dynamic and rhythmic patterning.
  • Understanding different dance styles, rhythms and forms, and how they originated.
  • Designing and performing their own routine or section of the group routine. This increases interpersonal skills and confidence in performing and expressing themselves in a secure environment.
This fulfills the national curriculum program of studies for PE.

What our Yoga Workshops cover:

Knowledge and understanding of fitness and health. How exercise affects the body and can help deal with stress and anxiety. Encouraging body awareness, how to monitor and develop one's own personal training.
  • Understanding different yoga styles, poses and their health and physical benefits.
  • Learning the importance of exercise and activity to improved personal and social health and wellbeing.
  • Shown innovative relaxation and meditation techniques which provide them with positive coping strategies to deal with different issues in their daily life, such as stress from impending exams.
This fulfills the national curriculum program of studies for PE.
