Yoga is particularly good for improving health, as it is a way of life not just a keep "fit class" once a week.  Yoga encourages you to become more aware of your lifestyle as a totality and teaches you how everything you do affects your body and mind (and vice versa). 

By practising yoga you can become more aware of how your mental state affects how you live, what you eat and how much exersise you do!  And also how your lifestyle affects your mental state.  Once you are aware you can begin to make changes to become more healthy!  You can begin to change your way of thinking towards exercise, eating and even life!
