Singing Workshops

Song is an ancient and powerful form of communication, expression and spirituality in every culture across the world.

Our singing workshops will inspire the pupils to find their voice which will boost their confidence, breathing, posture and expression as well as encourage team work, creativity and inspire them to enjoy expressing themselves through song, just as our ancestors have for thousands of years.

The Singing Day can begin with an introductory assembly about Song and a perhaps demonstration from the teacher. (Max 15 minutes).

The students will then be split into classes, lasting from 40 min for reception to 1hr plus for years 3-6 and secondary.
Each workshop will consist of:

•     Vocal Warm ups
•     Stretching and rhthm and name games
•     Exercises (breath, harmonies, rounds etc)
•     A song of their choice.  Depending on ability, this may include harmonies, rounds, clapping or movement.

OPTIONAL: Finish the day with a school assembly performance, allowing any groups or individuals who would like to perform the routine in front of an audience of the students, teachers and even parents.
